The Bahrain Grand Prix Circuit for 2010 tested by Red Bull F1 driver, Mark Webber (courtesy Racing Bulls TV). Bahrain Circuit will host the first race of the Formula 1 season. Bahrain Circuit dimensions:
Lenght: 6. 3 kms
Laps: 49
Maximum Speed: 308 kms/hr
There will be four high speed stretches, 6 low speed corners and 3 ideal spots for drivers to overtake other cars in the Bahrain Grand Prix for 2010.
Corners of the Bahrain Grand Prix Circuit as described by Mark Webber:
Breaking very very hard for the first corner and a very slow hairpin. Towards turn 4 the circuit is very open and wide but then you have to break hard for the corner. After turn 4, the drivers will shift to the new part of the track which is very slow. Two right hand corners with the second one being extremely tight. Then come down the hill to a very tight right hand corner at the bottom of the hill. After the penultimate corner, the track is straight. However, wind conditions play a very crucial role in Bahrain and the drivers will have to be very careful with their top speeds and slow corners. The last corner is slightly a blind entry and its very easy to run out of the road on exit.
That was Bahrain F1 Circuit for the 2010. We do have a video for you.
Finally, its out. The news is that US F1 Racing will not be participating in 2010 F1 season. Its unfortunate for Formula 1 and American F1 fans who were looking forward to an all American outfit.
Ken Anderson, the team principal confirmed that the US F1 team will not race for the 2010 season and that they have applied to the FIA to hold its entry until 2011. He also confirmed that US F1 is not shutting down but the staff has been sent on unpaid leave. Anderson added that this was suppose to be confidential but someone has leaked the information to the media,
US F1 is working with the FIA and hopefully they will come out with the solution. However, its too late for this season. US F1’s demise has created a vacancy for the 2010 F1 season and Stefan GP will be hopeful to fill this spot. But everything is in the hands of FIA. It can either allow Stefan GP and late entry into F1 2010 season or go with only 12 teams instead of originally planned 13. We will let you know.
